As some of you know, in addition to writing and promoting/marketing, I also manage entertainers.

I have been managing jazz vocalist, Carol Erickson, since 2009. She’s a lovely woman with a dynamic voice and stage presence.

Since Carol just got a fabulous new website (http://www.carolericksonvocals.com/) I figure this is the perfect time to feature her in my blog.

Carol Erickson started to pursue her passion for music after being a nurse for 40 years. She likes to perform jazz standards from the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s.

While I get her gigs in libraries, assisted living facilities and hospitals, Carol also performs in night clubs such as NYC’s Metropolitan Room, Trumpets in Montclair, NJ, Tierney’s in Montclair, NJ and Crossroads in Garwood, NJ.

Her show is not to be missed! Her warm personality makes each audience member feel as if the show is just for him/her!

      • That would be great if Carol Erickson could sing in New Orleans. Louisiana has a rich musical heritage. I love the blue-eyed soul music of Louisiana of groups like the Fabulous Boogie Kings. The group is about 57 years old now.

      • Andrew, she was actually considering coming to New Orleans so you could see her! We were emailing back and forth about it and she does have frequent flier mileage. So I’ll keep you updated.

      • Don’t know for sure if I could afford the trip to New Orleans, since my wife and stepson are living off of my Social Security check. It is great to know she would consider making the trip, so I could see her sing. All the trips to VA hospitals every week are taking a toll on our budget.
