The assignment I covered today was about the sad condition of the above and many other schools in Paterson and protesters wanting better school conditions for the kids.
A side note, this school is just one year younger than The Statue of Liberty.

Reminds me a lot of the first school I went to. I think it was No. 16 on Virginia Ave just past Madison Ave. Went there through grade 3. My friends and I used to play a lot of basketball in the gym at the Sandy Hill School. That was our Friday night entertainment. You certainly do have varied assignments.

My human mommy is a bit of an advocate (to put it mildly) for public education in our town. Our local district has been very good, in general, about building new schools and renovating some of the older ones. Now if only our state legislature, governor, and local communities would support the teachers and students inside of those beautiful buildings. 😦
Yeah, seems every town has its issues. When I first got the assignment I thought such an old school was a good thing, something of historic value, but then learning about the conditions I realized how devastating the situation was.
