Loving All Creatures Great and Small

It was a gorgeous spring night last night, so my husband and I took a ride.

On the way home we saw a dying bird in the road — a pheasant.

By the time we made a U-turn and got out of the car, the bird was dead already.

My husband had a pair of gloves and picked her up and put her on the grass area so cars wouldn’t run her over.

We said a little prayer for her soul.

Came home and gave our kitty a lot of love.

It’s always so sad when a helpless animal dies.
