Living in New Jersey, USA, we are so blessed to have four seasons. I appreciate all of them, but autumn is the most beautiful of all. Leaves turn to shades of orange, yellow, and red — and the weather is perfect. It’s in the 50s or 60s. You can wear a heavy sweater or a light jacket. You don’t have to bundle up yet with scarves and gloves. Fashionably speaking, it’s the best!
Halloween was last weekend and it was a perfect autumn day. This season seems to go by so quickly, then we’re in for a long, snuggly winter. So, why do people RUSH the holidays. Halloween ended, and there are Christmas decorations everywhere already.
Not one to rush, I like to continue celebrating Halloween right up until Thanksgiving. I love driving around and seeing the homes of Halloween enthusiasts who leave their decorations up. It’s so festive to see, especially since we turned the clocks back and it gets dark so early.
So, for those of you who appreciate the creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky, this post is for you!

Hi Maryanne ! Hope everything’s okay for you and Dennis !
It’s been a while I haven’t leaved a comment below one of your post…
Halloween used not to be a thing in France, although bars, discos and pubs had been promoting it for years (commercial purposes)… However, it is getting bigger and bigger in my country, just like Black Friday and pumpkin pies are btw… Now, you see planty dressed up kids going around and knocking at doors for sweets.
I personnally don’t mind much about that celebration but lots of people do by going outside dressed up in the streets and celebrate it with their friends. Well, another occasion to party after all !
Nonetheless, you don’t see heavy decorations in houses gardens (we’re not very fond of heavy decorations, even for Christmas) but you definitely can see them in stores, pubs and restaurants !
Even if I’m not crazy about Halloween, I like to gather with friends during that night to enjoy a horror movie and have a good time !
Oh, and my favourite season is definitely summer : it’s hot and vacations time ! As a sunshine lover (and a rain hater), I wish we could be always in summer – or spring (but without rain :/) !
Have a nice day !
Eleonore
