    • They’re great, aren’t they? I got them in a place that no longer exists called “Dressing For Pleasure.” One day I’m going to take pictures of all the shoes I got there because most I don’t wear anymore, but I keep them because they all have great stories 🙂

  • You look like a rock star in this photo, chicka! Love it and LOVE the boots and love your blog, in other words, love, love, love!!!!!!! LOL!

    • Aww, thanks Doll! This was a night that Dennis performed last year, so I was a bit decked out. This is one of my favorite pictures because I had so much fun that night.

    • I am SO enjoying your blog! We have political differences but I absolutely LOVE all the retro pictures and references. I’m a little under the weather and can’t go for my bike ride today, so this makes up for it 🙂

      • Just go to show that connections between people-whether it be music, philosophy or how one looks at life and the world-goes beyond political divides…hope your feeling better soon for a great bike ride!

      • Exactly!

I’ll be okay soon. I have a good immune system. This is so rare, I haven’t had a cold since the 1990s! I’m confused what happened. LOL!

  • Holy Cow! All I can say is your husband is one lucky guy!!! I happened across your blog somehow? I saw the pic of you in your bikini (not trying to be a weird creepo here) and was floored…..you are beautiful and have a to die for figure =) Seriously you really caught my eye, not just in this pic, all of them! Love your writing ….keep up the good work and tell your hubby you have yet (I am sure of) another admirer!!!

    • How cool is that! Westfield is lovely! We’re in Kenilworth. I didn’t put it though because people confuse it with Kinnelon. I figure saying Union County is easier 🙂

Originally I’m from towns more north like Paterson, Cedar Grove, Little Falls and Montclair.

      • it’s a small world! after 3 years in westfield, we moved to martinsville (bridgewater?) but my brother lives in the westfield house that my grandparents built and my dad grew up in.
never understood why nj gets a bad rap – it is a wonderful place!
        😉

      • Wow, definitely a small world!

NJ only gets a bad rap from outsiders who have never been here and think it’s “cool” to diss on something they’ve only seen on television. Well then, let their ignorance keep them away — we don’t want those types here anyway 🙂

  • Hey Maryanne! Those boots you’re wearing in that first photo are the coolest freaking boots I’ve ever seen! And I can’t believe you’re in your 40’s – you look amazing! Anyway, you liked a post on my blog so I wanted to check out your blog and say, “Hi.” I love your about page! It’s great to write about positive stuff, but I’m with you – you have to keep it real. You look like quite the accomplished writer. I admire that. I’ve been a dabbling writer for about as many years as you, but I’ve only completed a thesis and a manual for treating social anxiety disorder (neither were published). I have a great desire to actually publish a book someday, and I believe that I’ve got enough determination to actually do it. I suppose time will tell. Anyway, I like everything you’re about, so I’m going to follow you so I can stay connected to you.

  • Wow! You’re a busy gal. Well, you look great if you don’t mind me saying so. I look forward to reading more of your stuff and trying to keep up with you. Guess I better drink a few energy drinks and hang on. Cheers.

  • Hi Maryanne, I have nominated you for The Premio Dardos Award! I bet you are quivering in excitement… or perhaps you might be hitting your head against a wall repeating the phrase “Not another award, not another award!” You don’t have to accept this award, but I would love for you to pop over to my blog and come celebrate! There will be imaginary champagne, disco balls and a drumming cat! What more could one want? Hehe. • Thanks for following The Immortal Jukebox Maryanne. I hope you have found some entertaining music and writing and perhaps made some discoveries. If its been a while since you last visited come on over! Good luck with your vivacious blog. Regards Thom

  • Hello, Maryanne! I just came across your page when looking up Stiv Bators! I love how you said he was the best rocker in the world. I channeled him on my page writingforthesoul. I’m a medium, musician, and a writer. Just wanted to say hi.

  • Yes! Check out my writingforthesoul page. Also, I think Justin Bertha was too muscular to play Stiv. I mean, Stiv was really skinny ripped. That movie was kind of a clusterfxck.

  • What do you think?
