A vegan birthday cake, from Glitter Thicket, Nyack, New York
Today’s prompt excited me because as a vegan I know firsthand that many people are not aware of how much fun vegan food can be. Glitter thicket is a small, but gorgeous, cafe in Nyack, New York. My husband and I visited last summer and it was like being in a fairy land, so cozy, adorable, and precious.
Larissa, the owner, is a sweet heart. She really goes out of her way to give visitors a great experience. There’s plenty of handmade shopping creations there like jewelry and fairy houses.
And the food is delicious! A birthday cake that tastes as good as it looks is definitely a perfect cake!

This was from their Facebook page and I asked if I could write a blog about it, because it coincidentally showed up in my feed the same day as the “Describe Your Perfect Birthday Cake” prompt came up for Bloganuary. … So, no, I didn’t choose a flavor. When I went there last summer with my husband, I think I had something like avocado toast for lunch. We were too full to try the desserts 🙂
