“Thank ya, thank ya very much.” — Elvis Presley

Published April 28, 2023 by Maryanne

At Jack’s Music Shoppe, Red Bank, New Jersey, Record Store Day, April 22, 2023

My husband called the shot on the above. “Photo op!” he called out to me, while I was busy sifting through a bunch of dirt cheap books — good ones! I didn’t want to pull away from the books, but then again, who could resist posing with Elvis.

Elvis is known for saying, “Thank ya, thankyaverymuch” to his audiences. And I thought that would be a great blog, to say thank you to everyone who reads.

Since I’m a professional writer, this blog has been more of a labor of love, pot potpourri of stuff I write, when I feel like it. (I hate that phrase, “when I feel like it” but it’s true, so pardon me as I cringe at my own wording. It’s embarrassing to cringe at oneself, but I am human).

Anyway, I am not here to make money. I promote my books organically without being salesy or pushy.

I am genuine and authentic. I read who I want to read when I’m on here. I’m not here to like the blogs of others in order to jack up my own likes. This is old school baby!

All that said, I want to thank others who are genuine. Who have read my blog over the years. Who have commented. Who have sent me individual emails. Who took a chance on buying my books. And those who came to my YouTube channel.

Thank you to those who I have bonded with over a variety of topics.

Thank you to those who have been with me for the major wins in my life that I chose to post about.

Thank you to those who “got” my silliness.

Thank you to those who continued to follow even after a major rant.

Thank you to those who have, themselves, provided great content that I love to read.

Thank you for being a reader and having a great attention span. In this day and age of Instagram and TickTok, attention spans are way to short. All fine and good, but you can never get deep in shallow waters. Thank you for being deep.

Thank you to everyone, from all over the world, who continue to check out blogs I wrote YEARS AGO! I’m always astonished to see people clicking on very old stuff. Some of the YouTube videos I’ve shared have been expired. And, early on, some of the photos I grabbed from Google weren’t exactly legit to use, so they disappeared from my page. Nowadays I use Unsplash, or just my own photos to be legit.

Thank you to the readers from back when I started, in 2012. And thank you to new readers.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much!
